Not In My Backyard
International Garden Festival Métis - selected
In an era when over-consumption leads to mountains of garbage, the idea was to show how recycled materials can be used to turn an ordinary garden into a true artistic and aesthetic space and how imagination can supplant consumption. In parallel strips between grass mounds, recycled glass was used as a sparkling carpet. Wire mesh fencing was used to make garden seats and galvanized steel tubs served as souvenir containers. While coaxing beauty out of banality, in the garden, nothing is wasted and everything is transformed.
