CAPE TOWN - mentioned
The consequences of global warming already exist in Cape Town. Since 2015, the city has experienced an unprecedented water crisis. The lack of water will also have consequences for the existing ecosystem, which will experience desertification. It is essential to rework the soil, adding organic matter and improving its structure in order to increase its water retention. Planting the city using endemic species is also a response to reduce the temperature and retain water. To answer to the problematic of the site we propose a new infrastructure that is serving and crossing the both neighbourhoods. The mesh design is a code-map of different types of roads. The intervention is relating the green to the new infrastructure.
