MIND House of Europe
Ucraine - finalist
The pavilion is both inspired by the logo of the house of Europe and to the modern architectural approach adopted by Ukraine’s 90’ suburbs developer. By using the logo we took the simple geometry of the letters and we transform it into architecture. In this way architecture is simple, the pavilion becomes a shelter and is of course inspired to the Mies Van Der Rhôe style, although it is in our own contemporary way, Mies steel is replaced with sustainable wood, and marble is replaced with 100% recycled plastics. The pavilion has been designed to be flexible its main characteristic is its removable facade, once you take it all it becomes 100% part of the public space but Still can be used in very different ways.
