This is the proposal for an extension of the historical cemetery of Belforte in Varese - Italy. The aim is to create a memorial garden, a spiritual place to scatter the ashes of our own relatives. The design consists in a small monumental emptiness where to remember and think. As well it is a place for little sacred events. A circular room, covered by a sculptural roof, invites visitors to stop. A fountain with a tree (symbol of life) is placed in the middle. Around the cellars to host the ashes. The circular shape reminds the life and it create a dialog with the historical complex of Belforte cemetery, just next to it.
