Wine pavilion for EXPO 2015

In the spirit of Milan’s renovation and improvement EXPO 2015 asked architects to design new spaces to present Italy and its traditions.
The proposal is a new wine-tasting pavilion in Parco delle Cave, a public park near to Milan. As the competition was promoted by FederLegno (the Italian association for wood producers), the pavilion had to be made by wood.
The design is a simple box split in two volumes which open up to the lake. The wooden skin smoothly opens to the landscape.
