The new promenade of Palma presents itself as a continuous pedestrian and bike path where large green spaces alternate with large open spaces, where you can feel the contact with the sea. The project promotes public mobility slow at the expense of the private fast, predominant today, thanks to the reorganization of Av. Gabriel Roca, from six to eight lanes only four lanes The increased traffic coming from the Autopista de Levante and Poniente, is diverted to alternative routes within the city. The Urban Arenais an adaptive public space thinked to host temporary events. The promenade is developed seamless along the waterfront with a sinuous curve that rises over the sea, hosting below a big Tourist Center that provides informations to promote the entire Region.
