Carlo Forlanini Square
Rome - first prize
Salotto urbano is a public area, conceived to help the cohesion between people. It’s a pleasant place to support the social interactions, working as structure for several activities and events, where people can freely operate and get back the participation of common good. The square’s design is planned based on a social purpose that aspires to produce activity, and on an environmental reason directed to external bioclimatic upgrade. The “Social trees” are imagined as energetically self-sufficient slight systems, composed by a perimetral system, with a second structure hooked into, formed by a metal grid that supports American grapevine, that lends to the system an always variable aesthetic aspect.
