CBS Straw-bale House
Caldogno (VI)
(UNDER CONSTRUCTION) The project proposes a traditional house with a twist, an ABAB sequence of spaces. The construction is set as a nzeb building for a young family. Studying some of the more ancient construction of the area it's clear that there are repeated design solutions such as houses’ orientation on the wind rose, openings ratio, sun shading elements. The traditional rural type in Veneto is made basically by rooms, a fireplace and a porch: all this spaces are matched in a healthy straw-bale construction added with a greenhouse. The plan is designed to have specific perspectives from different point of view. The facades outline an external uniformity beside the internal differentiation. The building could be set in different layouts during the year: in cold months the porch becomes a winter garden, while in summer the internal garden becomes a greenhouse.
