VENETIAN RIPPLE
Venice
“Venetian Ripple” is a project that investigates the relationship between Art-Architecture and Science and in particular it an attempt to apply Physics principles in architectural design. The scientific explanation of the term “ripple” is: a small wave or series of waves on the surface of water, especially as caused by a slight breeze or an object dropping into it. The project generates a system of spaces (open/closed; narrow/wide; near/far; etc.), which give some degrees of freedom in the observer/user, with respect to the observed space.
