Childhood Pavillon
Milano
The project comes from the idea of ‘play’ as essential tool in healthy child developed, as a ‘gift’ through which children can express themselves. In the pedagogist Froebel’s theory, the gifts were boxes containing different wood objects, elementary forms to stimulate children’s senses and induce them to discover the complexity of the world. So, coming from the concept of the box, the Pavillon is conceived as a place where activities for children with disability and their parents are located. Oversized objects - cubes with a specific sensorial experience - are embedded in the Pavilion to identify single thematic areas and to allow the development of the children’s sense of orientation.
