Il Convivio is a restaurant in Genoa not far from Brignole railway station, based on the typical ligurian cuisine. Originally, the place was completely covered by dark wood panelling which made the interior atmosphere dark and less comfortable. A portion of the main room has been painted with lighting but soft nuances, in order to dim the chromatic preponderance of the wood; colours, textures and materials have been chosen to give dynamism and energy to the spaces. The selected pieces of furniture and objects highlight the genuine taste of the traditional ligurian cuisine: metal bowls used as bread bins, wooden boxes arranged as shelves, old buckets employed as vases for aromatic plants, they all recall the local identity. The graphic identity and the website of the restaurant have been developed thinking to the semplicity of the ligurian cuisine, based on easy recipes and genuine tastes.
