Color is the keyword of the refurbishment of a small apartment in Milan. The small size of the apartment led to a simple design of the spaces. The simplicity of the spaces and the basic design of the white furniture are enlightened by the warm yellow of the walls.
The choice of an energetic background is combined with the selection of some design elements coming from the past. An oversized aluminium clock originally belonged to ‘Giulio Romano’ municipal swimming pool, after many years of service in via Ponzio in Milan is now hanging on the wall and has earned the place of the protagonist of the living room.
Two wooden chairs inspired to rational design have been painted in white and orange. A graphics by Mimmo Paladino inspired to Bruno Munari sketches of human faces makes the best of itself on the bed and the yellow eyes of the face establish an explicit link with the walls.
