The project is part of a master plan over an area of 551.854sqm, partially hilly, at the outskirts of Sanya city to create a "Village of the Art" that, although supplied with museums and conference rooms, can be better called great resort for vacation. The general plan allocates 58.709mq for villas. Considering the relatively high density we tried to increase the variety of the whole and the identity of each unit designing several types, from 200 and 350sqm each, slightly different from each other, alternating them rather than grouping them. The volcanic nature of Hainan island and rocks concealing geodes that abound there, have suggested an image of a shell that rolls around the house longitudinally, covered with black lava stone, which reveals, within, a largely glazed facade to simulate the appearance of the geode crystal.
