Cernobbio (CO) - third prize
The main theme of the event has been translated into a garden-orchard. The installation offers a contemporary synthesis of a beautiful, good and useful garden: fruit trees, evergreen grasses, wildflowers lawns, natural and untreated hardscape materials.
The project aims to demonstrate the potentials of a careful and responsible design, through the usage of heritage fruit trees and a shrub-grass layer made of selected, hardy and first-quality plant material. It was possible to taste apples from heritage varieties of productive trees, also displayed in the garden. Some of the heritage fruit trees selected, offer their fruits in October.
