The strategy of this proposal wants to maintain something of the regularity and the rigorousness of the conventual architectures, through a new relation between cells and gardens, and reuse the simple method/mechanism of horizontal connections through porches thanks to a simple reworking of the cloister. This operation makes it possible that, starting from a system closed and organized around the patio, the new hostel is reconfigured as a new open system, an assembly that breaks with the original unity to establish new relationships with the surroundings, organizing gardens of different size that blend with olive trees gardens landscape.
