The potential of Stige Island is enormous; the landscape is young, immature, unstable, indefinite, unfinished. The challenge is to open up and keep this seemingly infinite range of possibilities available – and to add to them without excluding any. The strategy will be determined by the desire to maintain the fascinating openness of the area. Stige Island is a landscape in transformation – change and development are characteristics of the island today.
