properties. From a distance, these gates,
together with the monuments of the inner
city, create the first image of a city.
In the flat landscape of Groningen, every
height difference generates a new horizon.
Coming from the East by car, one sees two
undulate lanes against the background of the
wide and very low sky. A giant roller coaster...
Coming closer these gulfs are capturing the
whole view, but once on top, a magnificent
birds eye's panorama of Groningen opens up.
