USC School of Architecture is pleased to announce the launch of PARAsite: http://arch-pubs.usc.edu/parasite/. This blog has been set up as a forum for debate about recent developments within the USC School of Architecture in the area of parametric and algorithmic design.
USC has a strong tradition in digital research and can claim some of world famous figures, including Berok Khoshnevis and Manuel Castells. Under the new Dean, Qingyun Ma, the School of Architecture is now making a significant contribution to that tradition. Recent appointments include Francois Roche, Marc Fornes, Roland Snooks, Nick Pisca, David Gerber, Greg Otto, Roland Ritter, Neil Leach and Manuel DeLanda. The School of Architecture now boasts some of the world's leading experts in MEL/Rhino scripting, digital fabrication, and digital theory, and the Master of Architecture program has become one of the leading courses in the world for digital design. Scholarships are available for talented students.
