Via Francesco Dell'Anno 10, Roma

Cortina D’Ampezzo - fifth prize
The strong naturalistic character of the area has suggested a design approach aimed at
dialogue with the preexistence and inspired by the presence of the 360-degree landscape.
The complex is designed as a small village built on two impost levels. To recall the alpine
tradition, the highest level has a small panoramic square around which the three volumes
destined for residences rotate. The lower level, dedicated to the collective functions,
overlooks the valley on several sides defining outside other areas of "the staying". The
small wood slats, that make up the ventilated façade, confer to the building a compact
aspect, that the presence of the lodges and the small windows helps to characterize
furthermore with a various shades of depth and transparency. With LARA Andrea Ravagnani Architecture Lab,
