Life In-volution
Evolution of Italian living is a theme demanding reflection. Are we witnessing a true evolutionary process, or should we be talking about an atypical involution instead? Technological progress may have made living in our homes easier, but the continuous change in the way we experience interior spaces has become a reality not to be underestimated. In a time when it is increasingly rare for new generations to afford to leave the parental home, the original environments in which one grew up are forced to adapt to accommodate a multitude of fluidly changing needs and wants; and, as our parents had to re-invent living life in limited surroundings, our current spaces, even if more in number, are challenged to become multi-functional, chaotic, inherently marked by an eclectic mix of styles and influences. Our proposal is framed within a process in walking, whereby passing through chaos spaces one reaches personal space as aspired by new generations: such as a rebirth from confusion.
